LIVING TOGETHER THROUGH FOOTBALL
Living Together Through Football is a cross-border shared space programme with participants from both sides of the sectarian divide in Northern Ireland and focusing on combating racism, sectarianism and other forms of discrimination on the island of Ireland with an inclusive programme of education, life skills, employability, citizenship, health and well-being for youth from different religious backgrounds, with different abilities/disabilities and ethnic minorities. From 2008-2011, the programme supported the successful Insaka-Glentoran Football Academy based in Dublin that is now located in Abia, Nigeria.
A new initiative, In partnership with the 'Games for All' committee of the Gaelic Athletic Association, will provide technical support for the newly formed, East Belfast GAA club while the programme is a partner in the Football at Three project with the Police Service of Northern Ireland, An Garda Síochána, the Irish Football Association and the Ethnic Minority Sports Organisation.
